Sanctuary - Original Horse Painting

Sanctuary gets its name from the flowers which the horse is jumping through. Wild carrot, otherwise known as Queen Anne’s Lace, symbolises sanctuary and safety. The horse, an animal I always return to painting when I am stuck, is my comfort but I have pushed the boundaries with the colourful and abstract background. She breaks though that as a guiding and reassuring light.
